Women of the League Series

Production
Documentary

Women of the League isn’t about the “typical NFL wife.” These women are entrepreneurs, business moguls, creators, philanthropists, and moms—basically, they’re doing everything but just sitting on the sidelines. It's about time for them to shift the spotlight and show the world what they're capable of.

NFL wives Allison Rochelle, Christen Harper, Kym Jackson, and Whitney Risner pose in a greenspace in a promo photo for Women of the League alongside Host: Josie Leinart. All women are dressed glamourously and lean into one another like they're on the cover of a magazine.

Beyond the episodic series itself, we also created custom social-friendly teaser content for each woman to highlight the glamour and camaraderie of this series—capturing moments of them getting ready for the shoot, exploring the set together, and sharing laughs. These teasers keep the women front and center, blending authentic storytelling with a true behind-the-scenes vibe that draws viewers in and allowed for them to promote orgnaically on their own social media, developing an exciting launch for a brand new branded series.

Process

NFL players often take center stage, but there’s a whole world behind them—including the WAGs who have their own powerful social followings. In a world where these women connect transparently with fans, J1S saw the opportunity to create a roundtable where WAGs could share what it’s really like to be in their shoes. The goal? A genuine space for these women to speak freely and share their stories in their own way through hosted, authentic conversation.

Strategy

We developed scripted outlines that focused on individual storylines and overarching League storylines and questions to guide the flow of discussion, ensuring every moment felt natural and engaging and each episode felt cohesive but unique.
